About

My name is Fabian Roth. I live and work in Switzerland and have a professional background in Microsoft infrastructure and cloud technologies.

I first looked into Microsoft Power Platform about one and a half years ago. At that time, it was more out of interest than with a concrete goal. I tried a few things, but without a clear direction.

More recently, I started working with it more seriously. What began as a small automation project turned out to be more complex than I expected. Even simple solutions required decisions about structure, permissions, and scope.

That experience made me more aware that even in a low-code environment, design decisions still matter.

I am still at an early stage of learning how to approach solution design in a more structured way. This blog documents that process.

It is not a collection of best practices or finished concepts. It is a place where I reflect on real implementations and the decisions behind them — especially where I underestimated complexity at first.

My main work is still in Microsoft infrastructure and cloud services. Power Platform is an area I am actively developing further.
